Employee engagement surveys are a great tool organizations can use to better understand how motivated and satisfied employees feel in their roles. This is an opportunity for the employee to provide honest feedback and for the employer to see the organization through direct data based on the employee’s feedback.
An employee engagement survey will reveal hidden insights, increase retention, reduce turnover, and allow the organization to make strategic decisions through the numbers and insights provided in the survey.
Employees want their voice to be heard, and there is no better way than an anonymous engagement survey. The results provide actionable insights that highlight areas the organization excels in and outlines improvement areas. Allowing employees to participate gives them a chance to be heard and helps influence a positive change. It shows employees that the organization cares and wants to hear their voice. This in turn, creates a culture where employees feel valued, respected, and motivated.
Surveys should be short and sweet. The longer the survey, the less inclined the employee will be to complete it. It should ensure anonymity and confidentiality which can encourage honest and open feedback. Once results are in, the employer should act on the results in a timely manner and communicate findings transparently. Transparent communication will show employees the organization is committed to honesty and open to change. A delay in communication or, worse, no communication at all can result in employees feeling ignored and discouraged.
